Everything about How To Cultivate A Good Friendship
Friendship plays a very important role in everyone’s lives. Good friends are those who have our back in bad times and celebrate our happiness with us during good times. The presence of a friend by our side gives us the ability to face any situation. Therefore, it is important that your child cultivates a good everlasting friendship and gets all the love and care he deserves to have while being someone’s good friend.
How To Teach Them To Cultivate a good friendship
Cultivating good friendship depends on the values that your child has imbibed. It is important to teach children values, which would make it easier for them to socialise.
- Teach them to overcome shyness and give them the time to do so. Some children have a hard time making friends compared to others. Teach your child to talk confidently and independently without being shy. Most importantly be patient, every child is different.
- Teach your child to lookout for negative qualities in people. People tend to get carried away by outward appearance. Their behaviour may be just the opposite. They might have qualities that may have a negative impact on others. Teach your child not be boastful and be kind and polite to others.
- Teach them to respect others’ feelings. If your child understands why people get angry sometimes and not be judgmental about them or the reason behind their anger, it would be easy for them to make long time relationships.
Show them some good examples. Children learn from the behaviour of the adults they see around them. Therefore tell them stories of values, friendship and things that they could learn from. Give them the guidance they would need to be a good friend.
